The Ranch

Growing up in a small town just north of Nashville, Jorgen Runquist spent over 20 years of his life on a 128-acre ranch like farm with his family. The farm, as you see it today, continues to be owned and operated by the Runquist family.

Enjoying all that the outdoors had to offer, Jorgen learned much responsibility through caring for the land and animals. He also earned special respect for God’s creatures as well as His beautiful creation. Whether it was working with the horses, building fence with his dad and brother, helping his mom in the garden or hauling brush there was much work to be done. But there was also time to hook a fish or two out of the nearby pond, relax around the campfire and share a few campfire stories with friends.

Jorgen wanted every kid to have a chance to share in the things he learned and experienced away from the hussel and fast paced lifstyles of today. He especially wanted those youth who were unwanted by others to have a place to go, knowing they would be be cared for and loved, while experiencing the real feeling of having a true family and a safe place to call home.

Knowing the importance of a having a home, and the love, friendship and companionship each member of the family experiences in a closely knit family, he married Karah, his wife, and found she to had the same call and burden on her life. Now having three children of their own, and a burdened to reach out to youth in need, needing not just a house, but a home, with a caring family consisting of a father and mother figure, the vision for the RESCUE RANCH FOR KIDS ™ was born.

Today’s youth are hurting. Not a day goes by without hearing, seeing or reading in the headlines of something sad or horrific happening to a child or young person. So many times we become calloused to those young people crying out for help, then it is to late.

Jorgen and Karah, and the S.W.A.T. TEENS® ministry team, with the support of family and friends, desire to make a difference and help turn the tide. Maybe you to have that same burden to help the youth of our nation through he struggles of life. Join us today in making a difference in the lives of young people from all walks of life. Accept the mission to open a place that will house, train in a trade or skill, educate, provide animal assisted theropy, and a caring home with a father and mother figure for youth who are in need of a family and a safe place to go.

At present, the search continues for 100 or more acres of land to house this safe haven for America’s Hurting Youth needing a chance at life.

You may ask the question, How can I help? Pray with Jorgen and Karah Runquist and the ministry team as they seek the Lord in further direction, following the steps that God Almighty shows them to take? Consider giving to the cause by way of donation. Maybe you are the one who holds the key to the acreage needed to build and facilitate Today’s Hurting Youth.

How much longer will we stand on the sidelines and hear the cries of the youth of America, yet turn a deaf ear to their needs. How Long? Will You Help Us Answer The Call? Join In The Cause Today!
